Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1.5 lb ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Toppings
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.75 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 burger buns toasted

Method
 

  1. Form ground beef into four patties and season evenly.
  2. Cook patties in a skillet with olive oil until desired doneness.
  3. Lightly crisp pepperoni slices in the same pan.
  4. Top patties with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni.
  5. Cover and cook until cheese melts completely.
  6. Toast buns and assemble burgers. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use thick marinara and whole-milk mozzarella.
