Ingredients
  

Crostini
  • 1 baguette sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove halved
Topping
  • 6 oz smoked salmon
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp capers drained
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped

Equipment

  • Baking sheet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush bread with olive oil and toast 8–10 minutes until golden.
  3. Rub toasted bread with garlic and allow to cool.
  4. Mix cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Spread cream cheese on crostini, top with smoked salmon.
  6. Garnish with capers and fresh dill, then serve.

Notes

Assemble just before serving for best texture.
