- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- Cut brownies into squares.
- Use white icing to pipe a spiral on top of each brownie, then drag a toothpick from the center outward to create a spiderweb effect.
