Ingredients
  

Bagel Dough
  • 1 cup cottage cheese small curd
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1-2 tbsp extra flour for kneading

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blend cottage cheese if very chunky, then add to a bowl with flour.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead lightly on a floured surface.
  4. Divide dough into 4 pieces and shape into bagels.
  5. Place on baking sheet and add toppings if desired.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and firm.

Notes

Blend cottage cheese for smoother dough and avoid over-kneading.
