- Heat skillet over medium heat and sauté onion and bell pepper until softened.
- Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in remaining sauce ingredients and simmer until thickened.
- Serve on toasted whole wheat buns and garnish as desired.
Notes
For lower carb, serve in lettuce wraps. Adjust sweetness to taste.
