Crispy golden fish fillets and crunchy homemade fries cooked in the air fryer for a lighter version of the classic comfort food.

Ingredients
  

Fish
  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil spray
Chips
  • 3 russet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Cutting board
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Slice potatoes into fries and soak in cold water for 20–30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 380°F and cook fries for 18–22 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Prepare breading stations with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Pat fish dry, coat in flour, dip in eggs, and cover with breadcrumbs.
  6. Spray breaded fish lightly with oil spray.
  7. Preheat air fryer to 400°F and cook fish for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Serve crispy fish and fries with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket and cook in batches if needed.
