- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the crumble topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter until crumbly. Refrigerate.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until combined.
- Fold diced apples into the batter.
- Spread batter into prepared pan and top with sliced apples.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over apples and cover with crumble topping.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, drizzle caramel sauce over the cake before serving. Best enjoyed warm.
