Ingredients
  

Apple Mixture
  • 2 cups diced apples peeled
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
Waffle Donut Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • salt pinch
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Cook apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until softened.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form batter.
  5. Fold cooked apples into batter.
  6. Cook batter in a preheated waffle maker until golden.
  7. Make glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  8. Dip warm waffle donuts in glaze or drizzle over top.

Notes

For crispier donuts, air fry for 2 minutes after glazing.
