Method
- Cook apples in butter until slightly softened.
- Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla. Thicken with cornstarch mixture.
- Cool filling completely before assembling.
- Fill egg roll wrappers with apple mixture and seal with egg wash.
- Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy.
- Coat in cinnamon sugar and serve warm with caramel sauce.
Notes
Best served warm. Do not overfill wrappers to prevent bursting.
