Ingredients
  

Gyro Meat
  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 onion grated
Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cucumber grated
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Assembly
  • 4 pita bread
  • 1 cup tomatoes
  • 0.5 red onion

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix meat with spices, garlic, and onion until well combined.
  3. Press into loaf pan and bake 40–50 minutes.
  4. Prepare tzatziki by mixing all sauce ingredients.
  5. Warm pita bread in skillet.
  6. Slice cooked meat thinly.
  7. Assemble wraps with meat, vegetables, and sauce.

Notes

Use a mix of lamb and beef for best flavor.
