Ingredients
  

Seafood
  • 1 lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined, cut into small pieces
  • 0.5 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
Vegetables & Herbs
  • 2 avocados diced
  • 1 cup tomatoes diced
  • 0.25 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and minced, optional
Seasoning & Oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional

Method
 

  1. Place shrimp in a bowl and pour lime juice over them. Cover and refrigerate 20–30 minutes until shrimp turn opaque.
  2. Dice avocado and tomatoes, chop red onion and cilantro, and mince jalapeño if using.
  3. Combine marinated shrimp with avocado, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño in a large bowl.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and olive oil if desired. Mix gently to avoid mashing avocado.
  5. Refrigerate 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve cold with tortilla chips or tostadas.

Notes

Best served fresh within a few hours of preparation to maintain avocado texture and shrimp flavor.
