Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in buttermilk until just combined.
- Roll dough to ½-inch thickness and cut into shapes. Place roast beef and cheese on half of pieces, top with remaining pieces and press edges to seal.
- Mix melted butter with garlic and herbs. Brush tops of biscuits.
- Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown and cheese melted. Serve warm with optional au jus.
Notes
Biscuits can be assembled in advance and baked before serving. Great for parties or family dinners.
