Ingredients
  

Fish & Flavorings
  • 4 tilapia fillets 6 oz each
  • 1 lemon sliced into thin rounds
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • optional lemon zest for extra flavor

Equipment

  • Baking sheet or dish
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Knife and cutting board

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat tilapia fillets dry and place on prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush garlic butter mixture over each fillet and place lemon slices on top.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and optional lemon zest. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcooking to keep fillets moist. Serve with steamed vegetables or rice.
