Ingredients

Pears
  • 4 pears ripe but firm, halved and cored
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 0.5 cup walnuts chopped
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking dish
  • Wire rack
  • Knife and spoon

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core to create a hollow center.
  3. Arrange pear halves cut-side up in the baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, combine berries, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Spoon the berry mixture into the center of each pear half.
  6. Drizzle honey and melted butter over the pears.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until pears are tender and lightly caramelized.
  8. Serve warm with optional yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Choose firm pears so they hold their shape during baking. Add extra honey if you prefer a sweeter dessert.
