Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Banana Pudding Layer
  • 1 package instant banana pudding mix 3.4 oz
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2-3 bananas ripe, sliced
Topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • vanilla wafers or cookie crumbs for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in dry ingredients.
  4. Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and bake 20-25 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
  5. Prepare banana pudding according to package directions with cold milk.
  6. Layer sliced bananas over cooled brownies, pour pudding on top, and spread evenly.
  7. Spread whipped cream over pudding layer and sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top. Chill 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Can be made a day in advance for best results. Store covered in the fridge for 3-4 days.
