Ingredients
  

Brownies
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips melted
  • 2 tbsp water optional
Optional Icing
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and melted chocolate until smooth.
  4. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Add water if needed.
  5. Spread batter evenly onto baking sheet.
  6. Bake 15–18 minutes or until set. Cool completely.
  7. Cut into bat shapes using a cookie cutter.
  8. Mix icing ingredients and drizzle or brush onto brownies if desired.

Notes

For the cleanest cuts, chill brownies briefly before cutting.
