Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs beef chuck cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 3 carrots sliced
  • 3 potatoes cubed
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Equipment

  • Dutch oven

Method
 

  1. Heat oil and brown beef in batches.
  2. Cook onions and garlic until soft.
  3. Add flour and stir well.
  4. Pour in broth and return beef.
  5. Add seasonings and simmer for 60 minutes.
  6. Add vegetables and cook another 60 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve.
