Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oil
Sauce
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
Stir Fry
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp oil for cooking

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Toss sliced beef with cornstarch and soy sauce.
  2. Whisk sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Steam or sauté broccoli until crisp-tender; set aside.
  4. Heat oil and sear beef until browned, about 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add sauce and simmer until thickened.
  6. Add broccoli back in and toss to coat before serving.

Notes

Double the sauce if serving with rice. For extra flavor, add a splash of sesame oil at the end.
