Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Add-ins & Topping
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • to taste powdered sugar or glaze optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in blueberries.
  5. Spoon batter into prepared donut pan, filling each cavity 3/4 full.
  6. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5–10 minutes, then remove from pan.
  7. Optional: drizzle with glaze or dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days or freeze for up to a month. Add lemon zest or cinnamon for extra flavor.
