Method
- Cut chicken thighs into chunks and place in crock pot.
- Whisk soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Pour sauce over chicken and stir to coat evenly.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Mix cornstarch and water; stir into crock pot during last 15 minutes to thicken sauce.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, replace bourbon with apple juice or broth.
