Frosting
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Whisk cocoa powder into the melted butter until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in powdered sugar.
  4. Add milk and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth and creamy.
  5. Adjust consistency with additional milk if needed.
  6. Spread frosting over warm brownies and allow to set.
