Ingredients
  

  • 1 box brownie mix or 16 homemade brownies
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ganache or hot fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate cookies optional topping
  • chocolate curls for garnish

Method
 

  1. Bake brownies from your favorite mix or recipe, then allow them to cool completely. Cut into squares or chunks.
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  3. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  4. In a rectangular glass dish, place a layer of brownie pieces at the bottom. Spread half of the cream filling over the brownies.
  5. Add another layer of brownies followed by the rest of the cream filling. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Pour chocolate ganache (or warm hot fudge) over the top layer and spread evenly.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, top with chocolate curls or crushed cookies. Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, prepare this cake a day in advance to allow flavors to meld. Try variations with peanut butter, coffee, or berries for unique twists.
