Cajun Steak Cheesy Rigatoni Parmesan

Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
Pasta and Sauce
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning for sauce
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook rigatoni in salted water until al dente; drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Season steak with Cajun spice, salt, and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet and sear steak 3–4 minutes per side. Rest before slicing.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter, sauté garlic, and stir in cream and milk.
  4. Add Parmesan, mozzarella, and Cajun seasoning. Stir until smooth.
  5. Toss rigatoni with sauce; add pasta water as needed.
  6. Add sliced steak to pasta and toss together. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan.

Notes

For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or serve with hot sauce.
