Ingredients
  

Candied Orange Peel
  • 4 oranges washed
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.5 cup extra sugar for coating, optional

Method
 

  1. Score and remove orange peels, slicing into thin strips.
  2. Boil peels in water, drain, and repeat two more times.
  3. Simmer sugar and water until dissolved, then add peels.
  4. Cook gently until peels are translucent and glossy.
  5. Drain peels and dry on wire rack.
  6. Roll in sugar or dip in chocolate if desired.

Notes

Allow peels to dry fully before storing for best texture.
