- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk until combined.
- Fold in apples.
- Layer half batter, half cinnamon mixture, then repeat. Swirl gently.
- Bake 55–65 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Cool completely, then drizzle with caramel glaze.
Notes
For best texture, use tart apples and don’t overmix. Serve warm with extra caramel drizzle.
