Method
- Slow-cook onions in butter and olive oil until deeply caramelized and golden brown.
- Roll out puff pastry and spread Dijon mustard evenly across the surface.
- Layer roast beef, caramelized onions, and cheese evenly over the dough.
- Roll tightly into a log and slice into even portions.
- Place slices on baking sheet, brush with egg wash and garlic butter.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauces.
Notes
Best served warm. Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
