Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1.5 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Biscuit Topping
  • 2 cups cheddar biscuit mix
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet, then add onion and garlic.
  3. Season beef, stir in flour, then slowly add broth to thicken.
  4. Add vegetables and transfer mixture to baking dish.
  5. Mix biscuit topping ingredients until just combined.
  6. Spoon biscuit dough over beef filling.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Let cobbler rest 10 minutes before serving for best texture.
