Ingredients
  

Chicken Sliders
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 12 slider buns split
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan
  • 0.33 cup garlic pesto
Butter Garlic Topping
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch salt
Optional Garnish
  • fresh basil leaves
  • extra Parmesan for topping

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking dish or tray
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Shred cooked chicken and toss with garlic pesto until coated.
  3. Slice slider buns in half horizontally. Layer chicken on bottom buns, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan.
  4. Whisk melted butter with garlic powder and salt, then brush over tops of buns.
  5. Place sliders in baking dish and bake 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  6. Optionally garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan and serve warm.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time. Assemble ahead and bake just before serving for best results.
