Cheesy Pizza Hut Breadsticks

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water 110°F/43°C
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
Topping
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp salt

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour and salt. Add softened butter and yeast mixture, knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, let rise 30–40 minutes until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough, divide into 8–10 pieces, roll into sticks, place on baking sheet.
  5. Cover and let rise 15–20 minutes.
  6. Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush half over breadsticks.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over each breadstick.
  8. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden and cheese bubbles.
  9. Brush remaining garlic butter over hot breadsticks. Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture; can reheat leftovers in oven for 5 minutes.
