- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour and salt. Add softened butter and yeast mixture, knead until smooth.
- Place dough in greased bowl, cover, let rise 30–40 minutes until doubled.
- Punch down dough, divide into 8–10 pieces, roll into sticks, place on baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise 15–20 minutes.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush half over breadsticks.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over each breadstick.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden and cheese bubbles.
- Brush remaining garlic butter over hot breadsticks. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Serve immediately for best texture; can reheat leftovers in oven for 5 minutes.
