Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
- Cool on rack before serving.
Notes
Do not overbake for chewy texture. Adjust mint extract to taste.
