- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In a separate large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, flatten slightly.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are set and lightly golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on sheet then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewiness, refrigerate dough 30 minutes before baking.
