Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts cooked & sliced thin
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 4 slices sourdough or whole wheat bread
  • 4 slices provolone or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • pinch salt and black pepper

Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Season and cook chicken breasts until fully cooked (165°F), then slice thinly.
  2. Layer chicken, avocado slices, and cheese between bread slices.
  3. Spread butter on the outside of bread slices.
  4. Cook sandwiches in skillet 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
  5. Slice diagonally and serve warm.

Notes

Customize with your favorite cheese, add veggies like spinach or tomato, or make a spicy version with jalapeños.
