Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mash the bananas in a large bowl, then mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  6. Pour batter into loaf pan, top with remaining chocolate chips, and bake 55–65 minutes.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use extra ripe bananas for the best flavor. Store covered for up to 4 days.
