- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl, then mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
- Pour batter into loaf pan, top with remaining chocolate chips, and bake 55–65 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use extra ripe bananas for the best flavor. Store covered for up to 4 days.
