Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries large, tops removed
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate chips or melting chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional for smoother melting
Decoration
  • 32 mini pretzel sticks for legs
  • 16 candy eyes
  • 8 caramel candies melted for tail feathers
  • 16 mini peanut butter cups or Rolos for heads
  • 2 tbsp orange candy melts for beaks
  • 2 tbsp red candy melts for wattles

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spoon or piping bag

Method
 

  1. Rinse and dry strawberries thoroughly.
  2. Melt chocolate with coconut oil in microwave until smooth.
  3. Dip strawberries in chocolate and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Press in pretzel sticks as legs before chocolate sets.
  5. Attach mini peanut butter cup heads with a dab of melted chocolate.
  6. Add candy eyes, beaks, and wattles using melted candy melts.
  7. Draw caramel or candy melt tail feathers on the back.
  8. Chill for 15–20 minutes until set, then serve.

Notes

Best served chilled. Perfect as edible Thanksgiving table decor or fun kids’ project.
