Ingredients
  

Danish Base
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
Glaze
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  2. Press one puff pastry sheet into the bottom of the dish.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then mix in egg and vanilla.
  4. Spread filling over pastry and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  5. Top with second pastry sheet and brush with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing.
  8. Prepare glaze and drizzle over the top before serving.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold before baking for best results. Customize with fruits or different chocolates.
