Ingredients
  

Base
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Topping
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • powdered sugar for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking dish.
  2. Place first puff pastry sheet in dish.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spread filling over pastry and add chocolate chips.
  5. Top with second pastry sheet and seal edges.
  6. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.

Let cool before slicing for best texture.
