Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar
Chocolate Custard
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter

Method
 

  1. Prepare chocolate custard by heating milk, sugar, and cocoa, then thickening with egg yolks and cornstarch.
  2. Cool custard completely before using.
  3. Roll out puff pastry, brush with butter, and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Cut into strips and roll into spirals, placing into muffin tin.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  6. Fill cooled cruffins with chocolate custard using a piping bag.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate before serving.

Ensure custard is fully chilled before filling to maintain crisp pastry texture.
