Ingredients
  

Chocolate Cake Layers
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee or water
Peanut Butter Nougat Filling
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Caramel Layer
  • 1 cup soft caramels
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup salted roasted peanuts chopped
Chocolate Ganache
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter optional, for shine

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch pans.
  2. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes.
  4. Add hot coffee or water; mix until smooth.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
  6. Beat butter, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and powdered sugar for filling.
  7. Melt caramels with cream and stir in chopped peanuts.
  8. Heat cream and pour over chocolate for ganache. Stir until smooth.
  9. Assemble cake: layer nougat, caramel, top with ganache and chopped Snickers.

Notes

Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts. Use dark chocolate for a richer taste.
