Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 box brownie mix plus eggs, oil, and water as directed
  • 1 cup green frosting store-bought or homemade
  • 12 mini candy canes broken in half for trunks
  • 2 tbsp assorted sprinkles holiday colors
  • 12 candy stars for tree toppers, optional
  • 2 oz white chocolate optional for drizzle

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Piping bag or zip-top bag
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Bake brownies according to package or homemade recipe instructions and let cool completely.
  2. Cut cooled brownies into long rectangles, then slice diagonally into triangles to form trees.
  3. Insert mini candy cane halves or pretzel sticks into the base of each triangle for the trunk.
  4. Pipe green frosting in zigzags across each brownie to create tree branches.
  5. Decorate with sprinkles, candy stars, or a drizzle of melted white chocolate.
  6. Let frosting set before serving or packaging for gifts.

Notes

Use chilled brownies for cleaner cuts. Decorate just before serving for the freshest look.
