Ingredients
  

Donut Holes
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • oil for frying
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter optional, helps coating

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Deep pot or fryer
  • Cookie scoop

Method
 

  1. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick dough.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Scoop dough into small balls using a spoon or cookie scoop.
  7. Fry donut holes for 2–3 minutes until golden, turning often.
  8. Drain on paper towels, then roll in cinnamon sugar while warm.

Notes

Brush donut holes with melted butter before rolling in cinnamon sugar for extra coating.
