- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Toss sliced apples with sugars, lemon juice, vanilla, spices, flour, and cornstarch.
- Transfer apple mixture to baking dish.
- Mix flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping over apples evenly.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the topping. Best served warm.
