  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for streusel
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar for streusel
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for streusel
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted, for streusel
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar for cinnamon swirl
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for cinnamon swirl
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream, for glaze
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for glaze

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Baking sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Measuring cups & spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to wet mixture until combined.
  5. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl. Prepare streusel by combining flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  6. Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheets and flatten slightly. Sprinkle with cinnamon swirl and press streusel on top.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set. Cool completely.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies before serving.

Notes

For best results, avoid overbaking. Chill dough if too sticky. Cookies store well in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
