Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 2 cups cabbage shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup milk warm
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Potato masher
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
  2. Cook bacon until crispy and set aside.
  3. Sauté cabbage in bacon fat until soft.
  4. Mash potatoes until smooth.
  5. Add butter and milk to potatoes and mix until creamy.
  6. Stir in cabbage, bacon, and green onions.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.

Notes

For extra richness, add more butter or a splash of cream when reheating.
