Ingredients
  

Cowboy Butter Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Place softened butter into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add garlic, parsley, chives, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  3. Mix in paprika, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir thoroughly until the butter becomes smooth and evenly combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  6. Serve immediately as a softened butter spread or refrigerate until firm.
  7. For dipping sauce, melt gently in a saucepan over low heat before serving.

Notes

Cowboy Butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for longer storage. Adjust spice levels to taste.
