Ingredients
  

Drink Base
  • 1.5 cups hot water or ginger tea
  • 3 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch nutmeg or cloves optional
Garnish
  • 1 lemon slice optional
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Heat water or brew ginger tea until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add sliced ginger and cinnamon stick. Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
  4. Add fresh lemon juice and stir.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
  6. Pour into mugs and garnish before serving.

Notes

Adjust sweetness as preferred. Swap hot water for apple cider for a cozy twist.
