Method
- In a large pot, brown ground beef over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and cook until softened, then stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and simmer 10–12 minutes until noodles are tender.
- Stir in ricotta, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan until creamy.
- Ladle into bowls and top with remaining cheeses and fresh basil. Serve hot.
Notes
Can add vegetables like zucchini or spinach for extra nutrients. Adjust spice level as desired.
