Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve pasta water and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Slowly whisk in heavy cream.
  6. Add parmesan cheese and stir until creamy.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  8. Toss cooked pasta in sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  9. Garnish with parsley and parmesan before serving.

Notes

For best texture, use freshly grated parmesan and softened cream cheese. Serve immediately.
