Ingredients
  

Sandwich
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Mash avocado with salt and pepper until creamy.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer avocado and cheese between bread slices, buttered sides out.
  4. Cook in skillet over medium-low heat until golden and cheese melts.
  5. Flip carefully and cook the second side until crisp.

Notes

Use ripe avocados and cook slowly for best results.
