Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion in olive oil until soft, then brown ground beef.
  3. Add garlic and seasonings; cook briefly.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and beef broth. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Add milk, cream, cream cheese, and cheddar. Stir until smooth.
  6. Fold in pasta shells and simmer until thickened.

Notes

Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep the sauce creamy.
