Ingredients
  

Hot Chocolate
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1.5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Whipped Cream
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream cold
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Heat milk and cream in a saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming.
  2. Add chopped chocolate and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Whisk in cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Simmer gently 3–5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Pour hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream.
